PATHOLOGIC QUIZ CASE 1

A 72-year-old white man was admitted because of a pulmonary hilar mass on the right. He had not noticed any change in his voice. On laryngoscopy, a polypoid lesion was observed emerging from the left ventricle, resting on the anterior third of the vocal cord. The lesion was excised at endoscopy. Photomicrographs of the specimen are seen in Fig 1 and 2. An electron micrograph of a small portion of a single cell is seen in Fig 3.
