To the Editor.—I am very interested in knowing the opinion of otologists about the meaning of the terms "otoneurology" and "neuro-otology".
I feel that the terminology is obscure and used without discrimination. In my opinion, the term "otoneurology" means the examination of all cranial nerves in the specialty of otorhinolaryngology, while "neuro-otology" is the study of the seventh nerve alone. I may be wrong in my opinion, but I would like to have a solution one way or the other on this problem of terminology.
