—I have read with great interest your recently published article in ARCHIVES about the "lost footplate fragment."
I had already the opportunity to speak about this very technique on May 19, 1969, at the Societe ORL des Hopitaux de Paris.
Along with you I think that a lost footplate fragment in the labyrinth is the worst thing that can happen. It is amazing that the literature barely mentions this subject.
I do hope the knowledge of this "bloodclot technique" will help save hearing in these patients.
