Copy for this department must be in the hands of the Chief Editor at least three months, and preferably four months, prior to the event to permit physicians, who wish to attend, to make their plans.

Courses.—The Department of Otolaryngology, Eye and Ear Hospital, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, announces three one-week courses to be held in 1968. They will meet: May 19-25; Sept 15-21; and Nov 17-23 (this is a refresher course for those who have attended a previous session).

The course will consist of gross and microscopic dissections exploring the surgical anatomy and dissections simulating operative techniques. Laboratory specimens will consist of preserved cadaver heads and cored temporal bones. Myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, stapedioplasty, and mastoidotympanoplasty will be demonstrated on closed-circuit television. Each student will also spend sometime observing in the operating suite.
