SURGERY, in my opinion, gives the best results in the treatment of malignant tumors of the face. But statistics are variable, as results depend mostly on the conditions of application of this therapeutic.

A courageous surgeon who does not hesitate to operate on almost all patients, even those with the most advanced cases, thinking it is better to give all his chances to the patient, will evidently have a higher failure percentage rate than one who only operates on selected patients with beginning cases.

Clinical Aspect

As with the other regions of the body, the efficiency of the treatment of carcinoma of the face depends on an early diagnosis. But between the arising of the first neoplastic cell and the effective therapy there are several causes of delay: carelessness or fear of the patient, insufficient knowledge of the physician, and the difficulty of the diagnosis.
