Of special interest is the chapter on myofascial trigger mechanisms offering a basis for the use of local anesthetic blocks in the treatment of pain patterns associated with joint dysfunctions. The authors' views on the improvement of hearing, tinnitus, and aural pressure symptoms are equally interesting, and on these points one may well visualize some diversification of opinions.
