The first edition of this monograph was a product of a series of lectures and symposia organized by the editor to present and correlate the latest authoritative information, both basic and clinical, pertaining to the temporomandibular joint and related structures. It included anatomy of the masticatory apparatus growth and development, histopathology and treatment by means of corrective dentistry. Old chapters have been revised, new material included, and four more chapters added to this edition covering evolution, embryology, roentgenography, and surgery of the temporomandibular joint.
