Dr. White's aim in writing this atlas is to make available in one readily accessible place a practical discussion and a detailed illustrative description of the operative procedures in the surgical care of infants and children and, in so doing, has broadmindedly included the various specialties.
The book is clearly written without unnecessary verbal volume, accompanied by an abundance of excellent illustrations in neat arrangement, lucidly depicting in stepwise fashion surgical procedures for more than 100 disorders. The bibliography and specific reference tables have purposefully been kept to a minimum in order to prevent unnecessary bulk.
