Osteogenic sarcoma occurring in the mandible is infrequent, judging from cases reported in the literature. The following case is reported because only a very few good therapeutic results have been achieved, all with radical surgical excision of the primary lesion.

In 1959 Richards and Coleman¹ reviewed all reported cases of osteogenic sarcoma of the mandible. They found reports of 50 cases but excluded all but 17 because pathologic proof of the lesion was lacking.
