To the Editor: At the recent spring meetings of the societies of otolaryngology, held in Hollywood Beach, Fla, there was a meeting of representatives from each state in the union. These men had been asked to serve as state chairmen, to aid in garnering support for the Deafness Research Foundation.
During one session of the Triological Society, Mrs. Hobart C. Ramsey, President of the Deafness Research Foundation, addressed the meeting. This was the first chance a goodly number of otolaryngologists had had a chance to hear her. She gave a short but inspiring talk which made a great impression on those present, for she was given a standing ovation at the close of her remarks.
At the meeting of the state chairmen, it was decided that these representatives would not only solicit their patients for annual membership in support of the D.R.F., but would, in turn, ask other otologists and
