True angiomas of the larynx are relatively rare. Lymphangioma of the larynx is an extremely rare occurrence. Only a few cases have been found in the world literature. Goetsch was the first author who described the structure of this tumor.

In the cases of Mayo Clinic, out of a collection of 722 benign growths in the larynx there were 25 hemangiomas and only 1 lymphangioma. Wojatschek, in his handbook from 1926, mentioned 12 known cases of lymphangioma. Manuilow, in 1937, wrote about having met with two cases in the Swierzewski Clinic. David B. Cordray and R. F. Gervais described one case of lymphangioma of the larynx, mentioning by the way about six cases having been found in available literature.
