Role of Biological Imbalance in Its Pathogenesis and Therapy

INTRODUCTION

In an earlier article,² I presented the results of an investigation of the physiopathological aspects of postoperative wounds and the use of n-butyl alcohol (n-butanol) in the control of the postoperative pain in otorhinolaryngologic surgery. In a second article,¹ I presented the results of a similar study of the physiopathological characteristics of the symptoms of vertigo. The results of these two studies confirmed the findings of Revici about the biochemical processes taking place in pathological tissues.

The beneficial effects of n-butyl alcohol on traumatic pain and the beneficial effects of lipids with acid or hydroxyl polar groups when used to influence the abnormal metabolic processes of foci that manifest themselves as acid or alkaline symptoms have all confirmed Revici's concepts of the role of lipids in the pathogenesis of these conditions.
