The dearth of literature from Europe is compensated for to a small degree through the ability of one of us (S. L. S.) to translate from the Spanish and the Portuguese of South America. The rehabilitation program of the military forces has increased the interest in hearing aids. On the other hand, the functional tests of hearing have shown little progress, most research being devoted to other ends. A monograph on audiometry by C. C. Bunch¹ is an exception and is therefore reviewed briefly.

In "Clinical Audiometry" the late C. C. Bunch summarized the results of over twenty-five years' study and research on the subject. The work, a monograph of 186 pages, is an outstanding contribution in the field of audiometry and hearing tests.
