The rarity of laryngeal sarcoma has been pointed out by many authors. In 1935 Tucker¹ reported 1 such tumor in 200 consecutive cases of malignant growths in the larynx. Figi² reviewed the literature and reported 4 cases observed at the Mayo Clinic between 1910 and 1933. More recently Havens and Parkhill³ included these 4 cases in a report of 11 cases of sarcoma and noted 15 additional cases of laryngeal sarcoma collected from the "pertinent literature in English covering the same period," i. e., from 1910 to 1941. Rigby and Holinger⁴ have recently reported a case of fibrosarcoma of the larynx in a newborn infant.
