This paper concerns itself in the main with a report of a case of sarcoidosis of the larynx and trachea.

A diligent search of the literature failed to disclose an adequate report of involvement of those organs.

Pinner,¹ in his excellent review of the literature on this subject of sarcoidosis, mentioned two reports in the foreign and one in the American literature. I examined the latter. It was by Longcope and Pierson.² Their report was as follows: "general oedema of epiglottis and laryngeal structures." That statement is of a general clinical nature, furnishing no specific information to the laryngologist. It was made as the designation of a clinical finding to account for the hoarseness of a patient suffering from generalized sarcoidosis.
