An examination was held in Kansas City, Mo., on May 9, 1936, during the meeting of the American Medical Association. Forty-three candidates were examined, of which number thirty-four were passed and nine were conditioned or failed. The board desires to announce that hereafter examinations will be of two days' duration and will include written as well as oral tests. Furthermore, after Jan. 1, 1938, no certificate will be granted "formally," that is, without examination, and all candidates shall take the examination in pathology. An examination will be held in New York on September 25 and 26, just prior to the meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.
