This is a brochure of 178 pages and is what the title states—some thoughts on the subject of asthma based on the author's years of clinical experience as a practitioner of medicine. It is not a profound contribution, but it is readable. It begins with a short chapter on the nature of asthma, followed by chapters on basic toxicosis, the relations of the ethmoid sinus to asthmatic phenomena and the irritable nervous system. Then comes a long chapter on biochemistry, in which the author discusses the relation of the asthmatic symptoms to intestinal disturbances.
