A 40-YEAR-OLD woman presented with a 1.5-year history of a worsening prominence in the lower part of her right cheek and a 2-month history of tingling on the right side of her face. She originally noticed the prominence after extraction of her wisdom teeth. She had no other symptoms. Two months before presentation, she noticed the persistent tingling on the right side of her face and went to her primary care physician, who referred her to an otolaryngologist. There was no history of trauma to this area, and the patient denied alcohol abuse and risk factors for human immunodeficiency virus.
