I read with interest Walker and workers'1 article that appeared in the September 1993 issue of the ARCHIVES. I, however, could not find the results pertaining to nasal length and columella inclination, two parameters that were mentioned in the "Methods" section. The validity of the conclusion that this type of surgery does not adversely affect long-term facial growth, based on a series of 10 children, 80% of whom were younger than 15 years at the time of reporting, could be improved by presenting the results once the patients have attained the age of accepted full-growth maturity. . . .
