A 59-year-old woman presented with a 1.5-cm slowly enlarging, painless, firm nodule at the concha-meatal junction of the right ear. The mass had been present for at least 1 year and was not associated with drainage or crusting. There were no signs of local inflammation or regional adenopathy. Excisional biopsy was performed. Representative histopathologic sections are presented in Figs 1 and 2.

A 41-year-old man presented with a 3-year history of a right preauricular mass, which had increased noticeably in size in the past year. The patient was otherwise asymptomatic.
Physical examination revealed a 3 x 3-cm mass that was nontender, firm, and mobile. There appeared to be no facial nerve involvement.
