PATHOLOGIC QUIZ CASE 1

A 50-year-old man presented with a mass in the right ear canal of three months duration. There was associated pain of two weeks duration, but no ear discharge. The mass was fungating and completely occluded the ear canal. He gave a history of having a mass removed from the same ear canal in Greece 14 years before this occurrence. An excisional biopsy was performed. The microscopic findings are shown in Figs 1 and 2.
