To the Editor.—Although the entity of epiglottitis is being recognized more frequently in the adult,1-4 it is a diagnosis not commonly entertained in the elderly. We recently treated an 84-year-old man with epiglottitis, and believe he is the oldest patient with this infection who has been described.
