To the Editor.—A posterior rhinoscopic examination was performed in a case of atrophic rhinitis. After cleaning out the crusts, the nasal alae were observed to glow in a dimly lit room. This is due to the examiner's light being reflected back into the nasal cavity by the mirror. I would like to bring this to your attention and would appreciate comments.
