To the Editor.—I address this comment to your editorial in the October 1985 ARCHIVES.1 In the US Capitol Building, the congressmen and senators walk past the pillars that hold up the Capitol dome several times a day. These 13 pillars are decorated with carved tobacco leaves.
Now do you have some insight why tobacco is a pillar of our laws and economy?
You will need to move the Capitol Building first.
