I was delighted to review this book by two of the foremost authorities in head and neck imaging. I also had the privilege to review their previous publication, Computed Tomography of the Head and Neck, in 1982. At that time I felt that they had provided an excellent reference textbook; my comments are even more favorable now.
In 503 pages of clear, readable text, these two preeminent authorities combine two different styles and two different geographies (University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, and UCLA) to place two imaging perspectives before us. The blend results in a highly sophisticated and organized text bringing focus on the subject matter of both computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The magnetic resonance imaging technology complements, in softtissue capability, the dual imaging capability of computed tomography. The authors divide the work on imaging into 11 sections, with each section followed by a set of
