This two-volume text is dedicated to plastic surgery in infants and children. It is a complete work comprising 70 chapters divided into six sections: I, homeostasis, disequilibrium, and stress; II, head and neck; III, the trunk; IV, genitalia; V, upper extremity; and VI, lower extremity. Unfortunately, the section on the head and neck is divided between volumes 1 and 2, requiring the purchase of both volumes by the otolaryngologist and maxillofacial surgeon, even though the majority of volume 2 is of no interest to this particular group. Though the text is labeled "pediatric," it is in fact a general plastic surgery text in scope and only pediatric by name, as there are already a number of plastic surgery texts with similar information.
Though the preface states this text has specific applicability to the experienced plastic surgeon, it has applicability to other specialties as well. Unfortunately, otolaryngology is not listed as
