This is another publication in the Birth Defects: Original Article Series of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation. Unlike previous publications, which dealt simply with problem areas, this volume includes a diversity of topics. Thus, this book contains the following disease subjects: the genetic and immunologic implications of white hair, concepts related to adaptation of neuromuscular function and craniofacial morphology, the temporal muscle in craniosynostosis, palatal and pharyngeal anomalies in craniofacial syndromes, orodental findings in genetic disorders, cephalometric findings in craniofrontonasal dysplasia and other syndromes, and ultrasonography for prenatal diagnosis of facial clefts.
In all, this publication is an excellent contribution to the wide topic of craniofacial anomalies. It should contribute a great deal to anyone who is interested in this fascinating subject.
