In this exceptional book, which will be invaluable to clinicians in a wide range of specialties, the authors depart from the formal, audiology textbook approach to present an excellent series of cases that fall under 24 different clinical categories. The categories include diseases commonly seen in a large otologic practice and those in which hearing loss is often a related problem, such as diabetes mellitus or multiple sclerosis. Not only are the cases relevant, but the presentations themselves are outstanding. The text includes informative footnotes and 25 well-chosen lists of references to the clinical literature.
