Special Announcement.—The American Board of Otolaryngology's written examination will be given Sept 25, 1983, at the Palmer House in Chicago. Registration will be at 5 PM, Sept 24, 1983, at the Palmer House. It is estimated that the examination will conclude at 6 PM on Sept 25.

For new application forms, contact George F. Reed, MD, Secretary-Treasurer, American Board of Otolaryngology, 220 Collingwood, Suite 130, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.

New Officers.—The Association of Academic Departments of Otolaryngology elected the following officers at the annual business meeting in Washington, DC, on Nov 19, 1982: president, Charles W. Cummings, MD; president-elect, Byron J. Bailey, MD; secretary/treasurer, James L. Parkin, MD; and councilman, Clarence Sasaki, MD.

Course.—The Cottle Primary and Secondary Course in Rhinological Surgery and Clinical Rhinomanometry sponsored by the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Kansas City, Mo, will be conducted Aug 19-24, 1983.
