A 17-year-old black boy complained of painless masses of several months' duration in his neck. He had 2-cm, bilateral, firm, movable nodules posterior to the sternocleidomastoids at the angle of the jaw. The remainder of physical examination findings, including a thorough ear, nose, and throat examination, were normal. The clinical impression was Hodgkin's disease. An excisional biopsy of one nodule was performed. Photomicrographs of the specimen are seen in Fig 1 through 3.
