A 42-year-old man was aware of a bump in the roof of his mouth for at least a year. He was uncertain as to whether it had enlarged. On examination, a 0.7-cm mass was present on the left side of the hard palate, approximately 0.5 cm anterior to the soft palate junction. The mucosa was intact. There were no other physical findings. The lesion was completely excised. Sections are shown in Fig 1 through 3.

A 10-year-old girl experienced progressive hyperpigmentation of the right nasolabial fold during two months. An ill-defined fullness became palpable in the same area. A biopsy of subcutaneous tissue was performed, and sections from this biopsy are seen in Fig 1 and 2.
