Meeting.—The ninth International Congress of Radiology in Otolaryngology, cosponsored by the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, is to be held in the Abbaye de Fontevraud France, Loire Valley, June 4-9, 1982.

New Branch of the National Institute of Neurologic and Communicative Disorders and Stroke (NINCDS).—A new communicative disorders branch has been established in the NINCDS intramural research program to focus on research problems involving speech, language, and hearing.
The new branch will enable the institute to develop and support an integrated clinical program devoted to the sensory-motor mechanisms of the ear, nose, and throat and other aspects of communicative disorders. Staff scientists will investigate speech and language dysfunctions and design and evaluate treatment procedures and prosthetic devices.
