At birth, an otherwise healthy girl was noted to have a 2-cm polypoid mass attached to the premaxilla just to the left of the midline. The lesion was pink and lobulated (Fig 1). The infant had no difficulty breathing or nursing. The mass was excised when the patient was 4 weeks old without complications. Histopathology is shown in Fig 2.

A 9-year-old girl had an asymptomatic mass in the midline of the tongue that had been recently noted by her mother. There was no history of fever or chills.
