As stated in the preface, this is not a comprehensive manual on rhinoplasty. The book contains seven sections: applied anatomy and physiology, anesthetics, basic technique, adjunctive techniques, finesse in rhinoplasty, problem noses, and secondary rhinoplasty. The sections on aesthetics and finesse in rhinoplasty are most noteworthy in that they provide insight into specific surgical anatomic solutions for individual aesthetic problems. This is the essence of the work. The section on problem noses also provides specific techniques for certain cosmetic aberrations, ie, short nasal bones, ultra projecting tip, malposition of the lower lateral cartilages, and others.

Almost every page contains a diagram and/or a photograph (total, 1,080). The format of the preoperative photography with discussion of the necessary technique followed by the postoperative result serves as an excellent teaching technique. Any surgeon who performs frequent rhinoplasties can expect to glean valuable technical tips from this work.
