A 24-year-old man had a six-month history of increasing difficulty in breathing through the left nostril that was accompanied by mild intermittent epistaxis. On examination, a polypoid, orange mass originating from the tip of the left inferior turbinate was seen. Except for a well-epithelialized perforation in a straight, nondeviated septum, the results of the remainder of the head and neck examination were normal.
Sinus x-ray films and tomograms were normal. The mass and the tip of the left inferior turbinate bone were excised, with the histopathologic findings shown in Fig 1 and 2.
