This text is a compendium of classic roentgenograms that encompasses otorhinolaryngology. The breadth, as well as the depth of this anatomical area, is well demonstrated by providing classic x-ray films of all the common and, perhaps most of the rare, diseases in the head and neck. Each roentgenogram is also explained in detail by a legend below it, which adds to the information the reader needs from studying the x-ray film. The text is most up to date by providing polytomography, as well as computerized axial tomography scanning techniques.
The transfer of an x-ray film to that on the printed page always loses something in the printing transfer. However, this is not the case with this text. The printer has done more than an admirable job in making these photographs appear as x-ray films would if they were placed on a view box. They are truly magnificent.
