Neoplasia of the Head and Neck is a "state of the art" monograph organized by the MD Anderson Hospital staff from a series of papers presented at the 1972 17th Annual Clinical Conference on Cancer. The biblioraphies have been updated to include references from as late as 1973, so the material presented is current. Reference lists are short, and this volume is definitely not for those readers who expect a vast list of papers following each chapter. The value of this book lies in the excellent coverage of many concepts of head and neck cancer by recognized leaders in their fields. Each chapter is concise. None is by any means an exhaustive review of the subject, but rather an attempt to highlight a controversial point of view or to emphasize an advance in our understanding of head and neck cancer.
