To the Editor.–Some historical notes can be added to the article entitled "Secretory Otitis Media in 1884" by Wilhelm Moll (ARCHIVES 100:240-241, 1974). Schwartze,¹ in 1864, described a case of secretory otitis media and treatment with paracentesis.
