This book has been established on a sound anatomic foundation, and it is surgically oriented. The 44-page first section covers the embryology and anatomic descriptions of each of the paranasal sinuses taking the general form of an atlas. Each chapter is concluded by a brief bibliography and one has a pertinent list of questions and answers—a novel idea that should have been kept parallel in all chapters to permit voluntary self-testing.

The second section, also atlas in form, consists of three chapters of anatomical coronal sections and radiographs of a 6-month-old infant, a 9-year-old child, and the final of an adult. To date the childhood illustrations are unique to this book.

The remaining 58 pages cover descriptive and line drawing illustrations of surgical procedures, rendered as standard fare without fancy trimmings.
