Typographic Errors in Genotype Terms in: The Influence of Mutations in the SLC26A4 Gene on the Temporal Bone in a Population with Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct

Typographic Errors in Genotype Terms. In the Original Article titled "The Influence of Mutations in the SLC26A4 Gene on the Temporal Bone in a Population With Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct," published in the February issue of the Archives (2007;133:162-168), 5 typographic errors were published in the genotype terms in the first paragraph of the "Laboratory Findings" subsection of the "Results" section. The correct terms appear in bold in the following paragraph:

An SLC26A4 mutation screen was performed in these 71 patients and results were positive in 19 cases (27%). One child had a triallelic mutation (P10T 28C->A, L50R 149T->G, and N322D 964A->G). Five children had biallelic mutations (V609G/G740S, G209V/T416P, A189S/N324Y, T416P/1614 + 1G->A, and G209V/T410M). Thirteen children had a heterozygous SLC26A4 mutation (L445W, V138F, L440P, G770V, L629V, I490A, F335L, F335S [novel], 1001 + 1G->A, E622K [novel], L597S, M1T, 682-698del17).
