Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2004;130:389.

Photographer: Jeffrey M. Israel, MD, Portland, Ore. Dr Israel is board certified in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This photograph was taken around the July 4th holiday, 2002. "As the sun was setting, it was apparent this was going to be one of the many classic end-of-the-day scenes on the Oregon coast. The photograph was shot with a Toshiba digital camera. Running along a sand dune was necessary to capture the arc of the sun as it set between 2 rocks."
