WE ARE PLEASED to announce the publication of a new journalthe Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. This cooperative venture is the outcome of years of work and a strong desire to serve both those practicing primarily facial plastic surgery and the broader otolaryngology community. Our goal is to create a new subspecialty journal that will complement and maintain the current strengths of the Archives of OtolaryngologyHead & Neck Surgery. We seek your support and welcome your involvement with this journal.
As Sir Harold Gillies1 wrote in the preface to his classic 1920s book: "Plastic Surgery of the Face is not a new development. Surgeons of all civilized and even some uncivilized countries have evolved methods of repair for various disfigurements."
