A 39-YEAR-OLD black woman from Zaire presented with a 7-month history of a left-sided painless cheek mass over the zygoma. The mass had increased in size over the last month. The patient also reported having struck her cheek on a cement floor approximately 1 year earlier. The findings of her physical examination were notable for an upper left cervical lymph node that was tender to palpation, as well as a nontender mass measuring approximately 5x8 cm over the left zygoma (Figure 1). There was no evidence of intraoral or intraocular extension. The tumor was resected in a near-total fashion.
