Abstract
A diabetic patient experienced multiple neuropathies involving the oculomotor, facial, and vestibular nerves. Recovery of motor function was complete following the oculomotor and facial palsies. The vestibular paralyses were acute and severe and also followed by compensatory recovery. Temporal bone studies show normal facial nerves. There is partial degeneration of the vestibular nerves which is interpreted to represent the pathological sequela of acute diabetic vestibular neuritis.
