Facial Nerve Decompression

Causes of Failure (Four Case Reports)

Abstract

Four patients who had decompression of the facial nerve received no benefit from initial surgery. Reexploration revealed two traumatic neuromas, one case of fibrosis around the nerve, and carcinoma from a parotid tumor invading the fourth.
