Trigeminal Sensory

Report of Two Cases

Francis H. McGovern, MD

Arch Otolaryngol. 1971;94(5):466-470.

Abstract

Two cases of Bell's palsy associated with the simultaneous appearance of a benign trigeminal sensory neuropathy are reported. This rare combination of cranial nerve dysfunction suggest a common etiology. The absence of demonstrable systemic disease and the satisfactory spontaneous recovery in each case infers a vascular etiology or a disorder of hypersensitivity.
