Ossifying Fibroma of the Middle Ear

Report of a Case

Lt Col Raymond H. Stecker, MC, USAF, USAF

Arch Otolaryngol. 1971;94(1):80-82.

Abstract

A rare case of ossifying fibroma of the middle ear presented as a typical glomus jugulare tumor. Preoperative selective carotid subtraction angiography did not cause flushing of the tumor. Early exploration and removal prevented further damage, complete relief of tinnitus, and return of normal hearing.
