Herbert Silverstein, MD
Arch Otolaryngol. 1971;93(1):42-45.
Abstract
Four cases of chronic seromucinous otitis media with resorption of the long process of the incus occurred. In three, the ossicular chain and tympanic membrane were successfully reconstructed while creating an air-containing middle ear space using a flanged silicone rubber tube inserted through a hole drilled in the posteroinferior canal wall.
