Abstract
A case of unilateral conductive hearing impairment was produced by an unusually large nasopharyngeal mass. The actual pathological changes were obscured for approximately 20 months by the patient's attempts to establish bilateral hearing loss, in an effort to relate his symptoms to trauma sustained in an automobile accident.
