Abstract
The combined use of the operating microscope and suspension laryngoscope permits microlaryngoscopic surgery. The technique is easily developed with close cooperation between the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. In most instances the procedure can be accomplished without an endotracheal tube. Instruction is most satisfactorily accomplished with this method and is a major advantage of the technique.
